This section of the module focuses on the location of the business, by enlightening us of the need to consider traffic flow, parking, leasing or renting a space, etc.
Along with the reading in this topic, assignment 4 is also introduced, in which we need to complete a location analysis for our business. Please see the attached assignment for further details. This will make sure that our location can allow us to still reach our target market/ customer segments. Other things to consider about location of the business are things like: how far will my patients travel to get to the clinic? How far am I willing to travel to get to work? Will I be able to make my clinic accessible to everyone? People in the area can help assess the number of potential sales: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/estimating-your-potential-customer-base/ A tool to find competitors in the area: https://www.chiropractic.on.ca/chiropractorlocator/ https://www.chiropractic.ca/about-chiropractic/find-a-chiro/ In this topic it was recommended to investigate cities by their designated wards, in which we would like to practice. This section of the module deals with the products and services that the business will be offering to the public. An important and integral part of listing the services and offerings of the business is also explaining the benefits associated with the respective service. This too, is a validation of the services offered by the business. This will be included in the Lean Canvas, as well as the executive business plan summary.
In this topic, we learned how to approach our target market with the appropriate tools to be able to find problems with the services we are providing, in hopes of better understanding how we can provide our customers with solutions to these problems. Going straight to the source for this information assures that we are specifically catering to our target population, accommodating to their needs. This allows the business to grow in a direction that is favorable for the business and the customers, assuring success. The link below is an article that helps address customer pain points, and how to better be able to provide the solutions they need. https://www.fastcompany.com/1844165/why-customer-pain-your-most-important-resource Another important point that was brought across in this topic was the type of questionnaire/ survey to use. This was interesting because it would make sense to tailor this component of the business to the target market, in a way that appeals to them. This would include the style, execution, and question type/specificity.
