Today, in our Chiropractic Principles group session, we were broken up into small groups and asked to act out a skit pertaining to the following words: professionalism, boundaries, compassion and conflict of interest. There is a reason we did not choose acting and film as a profession. Despite our inability to convincingly act, we are able to identify the main topics of each skit. Lets look at some of the main points of each skit.
Professionalism: Not only is it important for the doctor to be professional in the way they address the patient and conduct themselves, its also important that the clinic staff also conduct themselves professionally. Professionalism should be instilled in the morals of the clinic. Boundaries: It all comes down to patient respect and patient centred care.
