Today, we focused on the role that social media plays in the health industry, in terms of presenting information to the public.
Our group's task was to create a fact sheet about the health concerns of the GBLTQ community using a form of social media. In the end, we ended up created a website to present the given information. We focused on health aspects of the population, such as mental heath, HIV, drugs and alcohol abuse and other health implications. It was very easy to create a website that presents all the information, however I failed to see how this task related to chiropractic. I took more away from the power point presentation outline we were required to read before class and as an aid for writing our report. It made me realize that I must think twice in every situation and be mindful and respectful of vast differences between individuals, even outside of practice. Here is the link to the 10 min website we created! http://lgbtqcompetence.weebly.com/ |
